One of the things that annoys me about Windows Mobile devices is that most of them have precious little in the way of any answering machine facilities. And for someone who is always missing calls this is something of a problem for me.
Thankfully there are a few external apps out there that arm you with an answer machine. iSecretary is one such program and boasts a range of features designed to help you manage all the calls that you can't take for any reason.
I love a program with lots of stuff to tinker around with and iSecretary certainly has that. When setting up the answer machine you can choose the delay period on which it answers, the maximum recording time (up to 120 minutes), whether to auto-startup, microphone volume and select the Wave format.
Everything is pretty easy to manage and recording your greeting is a painless process. You can go back and re-record the greeting with just one click. The only thing I would've liked to have possibly seen would be a feature for changing your voice, just to add a bit of fun to your greetings, though, of course, you can use third party Windows apps to achieve this.
If you're fed up with not having an answer machine on your Pocket PC, iSecretary provides you with everything you need.
